Ausable River Carvers offers the beautiful, custom-made
work of artist and wood carver Don Moore, seen here on a research trip on the Salmon River. He caught the Steelhead on a No. 12 Egg-suckin' Muskrat nymph with a 3x tippet. This dedicated artist makes such sacrifices in order to master the details he uses in his work.
Ausable River Carvers specializes in hand-carved and hand-painted trout,
loons, ducks and trout flies. But aside from his carvings, Don also custom-designs simpler painted signs for use in camps, vacation homes and
